I am infected with agent.trojan or trojan.agent can't remember exactly which one. At the time I was running Macafee, with MBAM and super anti spyware already installed. I ran MBAM twice but it failed to totally get rid of the thing. I followed the procedures in the removal thread, however after running combofix I got a blue screen. Restarted in safe mode, downloaded some important docs, and ran MGtools. see the logs attached below.
Your help will be greatly appreciated.

After reading through some of the other posts, I decided to run TDSS Killer, it found a rootkit, see the attached log below.

What malware issues are you still having, if any?

You need to clean out this folder:
    C:\Users\michael\AppData\Local\Temp\

I deleted everything in that temp folder, except one log will not delete: FXSAPIDebugLogFile
It says that it is still open in windows explorer. Should I delete the recycle bin as well?
I am not noticing anything out of the ordinary, but I still have all scanners and virus protection disabled. There are two notepad docs that appeared on my desktop about a week ago, and I did not put them there. This happened after running system mechanic.

Yes, you can empty the recycle bin. You will need to post in the software forum regarding those files that appeared after running system mechanic. I am not familiar with that program or what it might do.

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:

    1. We recommend you keep SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware. Unless you purchase them, they provide no real time protection. They do not use any significant amount of resources ( except a little disk space ) until you run a scan.We recommend them for doing backup scans when you suspect a malware infection.
    2. If we had you use ComboFix, uninstall ComboFix (This uninstall will only work as written if you installed ComboFix on your Desktop like we requested.)
      • Click START then RUN and enter the below into the run box and then click OK. Note the quotes are required
      • "%userprofile%\Desktop\combofix" /uninstall
        • Notes: The space between the combofix" and the /uninstall, it must be there.
        • This will uninstall ComboFix and also reset hidden files and folders settings back to Windows defaults.

    3. Go back to step 6 of the READ ME and renable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it.
    4. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    5. If we had you download any registry patches like fixme.reg or fixWLK.reg (or any others), you can delete these files now.
    6. If running Vista, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    7. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis.
    8. Goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    9. If you are running Win 7, Vista, Windows XP or Windows ME, do the below:
      • Refer to the cleaning procedures pointed to by step 7 of the READ ME
for your Window version and see the instructions to Disable System Restore which will flush your Restore Points.
      • Then reboot and Enable System Restore to create a new clean Restore Point.

    10. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:

Malware removal from MajorGeeks = $0

I followed your instructions below up to re-enabling a restore point. Upon reboot, I got this message:
    C:\windows\system32\config\system profile\appdata\roaming\hpqlog\hpqlog\hmlxkn.dll
specific module could not be found

Ran Malwarebytes and had four infections, the log doesn't say much, but the files are in quarentine

Thanks for your help so far, I really appreciate it.

You are not attaching the logs from MBAM. Open MBAM, click on logs and attach the latest log.

I completely went through the malware removal thread again from the begining. I ran SAS, MBAM, got rid of Macafee, and downloaded AVG. Ran AVG and it found a couple of other files. Ran TDSSKiller and it was clear. Reran all of the above and everything is clear for these. I didn't want to run the others again until notified (MGtools and Combofix).
I just realized there are two different logs in MBAM, my bad on the last post.

    Thanks again

Are you still having any issues?

everything seems to be ok. Thanks. BTW what are the reasons for running combofix and why is it somewhat risky? Also, where can I read up on this a little more, I feel like I need to have more knowledge on this stuff.

ComboFix can find a lot of issues that other scanners can not, but it can also remove items that may render your system incapable of booting, which is why it must be used under supervision.
