    I don't know as much about the Android version of Malwarebytes. I am wondering if someone could help me know what happened. My friend plugged an audio cable in the headphone jack and MalwareBytes came up kinda blinking some kind of scan over top of the full screen and the main 3 buttons wouldn't do anything. It ended up showing a display apparently generated from this html I found at /sdcard/Android/ data/org.malwarebytes.antimalware/files/AntiRansomware.html (/sdcard being a symlink to internal storage)
    Code:
    <title>How to remove ransomware
    from your device?</title>
    <h4>How to remove ransomware
    from your device?</h4>
    <br>
    <h5>Identify which app may be the ransomware app from below</h5>
    <br>
    <ul>
    <li>Outlook<br>Installed onDecember 31, 2008 10:00 AM</li>
    <li>Photos<br>Installed onDecember 31, 2008 10:00 AM</li>
    <li>Office<br>Installed onDecember 31, 2008 10:00 AM</li>
    <li>Calculator<br>Installed onDecember 31, 2008 10:00 AM</li>
    <li>YouTube Music<br>Installed onDecember 31, 2008 10:00 AM</li>
    <li>Amazon Shopping<br>Installed onMarch 4, 2022 12:03 AM</li>
    </ul>
    <br>
    <h5>Remove the ransomware through system settings</h5>

    I don't know if this is something to worry about or if he just touched something accidentally. I have a screenshot during the scan, but it doesn't want to upload...
    Any insight would be appreciated.

    Yeah, earlier versions were very slow. They seem to have worked it out for the most part. The current version also requires payment information to receive a free trial, but it's apparently a new free trial, even if you've had one before.

    Thanks for the link.

    So far, the device seems to be fine. We've heard it's happened to others, with the earphone jack a possible trigger.

    That's strange but computing devices still surprise me when something that seems unrelated causes something to happen.
