"Alexandria Police officers have arrested a man they say killed his brother by stabbing him in the chest with a sword.

Nathan White, 27, of 608 Highpoint Drive, Alexandria, was charged with manslaughter after his arrest Sunday.

According to Alexandria Police, officers responded to the Highpoint Drive home where White lived around 11:05 p.m. Saturday night and found Josh White, 30 -- who also lives at the Highpoint Drive home -- dead.

Two witnesses told police they were in the home at the time of the fight. One of the women -- grandmother of the two men -- said she'd picked up Nathan White, who had been drinking at a friend's home.

She said that when she and Nathan White arrived at the home and walked inside, Josh White was playing a game on the television. She said Josh White had also been drinking a lot and was cussing and yelling while playing the video game.

The woman told police that she told Josh White to calm down and that she didn't want to hear that kind of language. Josh White then stood up and began cussing at Nathan for no reason, and the two began arguing and cussing each other, the woman told police.

Nathan White then became scared, the woman told police, and went to his room and grabbed a sword, telling Josh White to stay away from him. He shut his door and locked it. Josh White then went to his brother's room, and the woman told police that she heard Josh White yelling, "You stabbed me."

The other witness told police she was in the room with Nathan White when Josh White came into the room. She said Josh White charged and jumped on his brother and then was stabbed by Nathan White with the sword.

She said Josh White fell to the floor bleeding from his chest."
