Manage Add-on grayed out

    This is driving me nuts. I have a system running XP with SP3 and IE 7. It is on a domain and I log on as the Domain Administrator. I start IE and go to OPTIONS | ADVANCED and the Manage Add-Ons button is grayed out. I go to IE OPTIONS and select Manage Add-Ons and all of the add -ons are enabled BUT they are grayed out so I can not change them.

    Anyone have any ideas?
