If you remove your music files from your iTunes library in order to save space, those files will be removed from my iPod the next time I sync with my library. Is there an alternative to this so I don't have to have so many files sitting on my computer?

    Hi

Not that I know of, only way would be to relocate the library/music to a secondary HDD, one used for data/storage.

or if all your music mp3's etc are also saved in the itunes library folder then you could re-locate all of those to an external or 2nd HDD and keep the main library database on the C drive, but would cause some issue with the libraries saved location of these files and cause you to have to relocate them again into the library.

I tend to have my music files on a secondary HDD opposed to the main C drive, but know this is not always what everyone can do.
