Okay. Just got a new monitor (my old one is thousands of miles away).

Catch 22: The resolution is set too low for the monitor to display before I install the drivers. Can't install the driver if I can't see the screen.

Anybody know how to manually lower screen resolution, without the use of a mouse? I had a friend who could do this, so I know there are people out there . . .

    Thanks,

    Steven

Have you tried Safe Mode...if not, try that and/or...

When the system is booting...keep tapping the F8 key and when the start up menu comes up...choose Enable VGA Mode...and go from there.
