By going into Device manager, and it will show model#. IF still questioning, just pop open the case and look at the label.

There are several ways to determine the manufacturer of your hard drive:

    (1) Check your documentation that came with your computer - when you purchased it - to find the manufacturer of your hard drive. If you bought the computer from DELL or Gateway; most PC manufacturers and larger Chain Stores list the hard drive Manufacturer's Name | Model Number | Serial Number [and the other products included with the PC]; on the Purchase Order and/or Sales Receipt.

    (2) You can sometimes find out the manufacturer's name and the drive's model number inside of the PC housing - located on a sticker on back of the drive. Just open up your case and look it up there.

    (3) You can also download this freeware utility: WinAudit Freeware made by developer Parmavex Services.

This utility will [in just a few seconds] provide all kinds of information about your system – including the hard drive Manufacturer's Name | Model Number | Serial Number | Disk Type | Capacity | etc as well as giving the user a hard-drive failure diagnosis.

    After you run WinAudit Freeware:
To find out the name manufacturer of your hard drive(s) and other HD related information, look at the list of Categories on the left-hand side of your screen and then simply click on "Physical Disks."

Right underneath the "Physical Disks" category lists another called C: Drive category which will also list ALL drives on your system - if you have several drives installed - including removable media drives such as CD, CDR, CDRW, DVD, etc.
