Many things went missing after reinstalling win xp

Many things went missing after i reinstalled win xp from win 7. Like the LAN, Sound system and many others. Please help me fix this.

We need a lot more information from you, especially the make and model number of your machine (please include any Dell Service Tag identifiers) and the Windows Service Pack number per this sticky Software Forum thread. Take heed of not revealing any Windows Product Key information.

Also: do you have any of the machine's original driver restoration software or media available?

 

As Caliban stated, we need more information about your computer. You can run Belarc
Advisor as listed in the "Sticky" that Caliban links you to or Speccy being careful not to reveal your Product Keys in either case.

If your computer originally came with Windows 7 on it, you'll have a difficult time finding Windows XP device drivers. The Windows 7 device drivers won't work with Windows XP.
