Here's something a friend of mine (a divorcee) sent me....you may have seen it before(?)...

If you want someone always willing to go out, at any hour, for as long and wherever you want ....Then buy a dog.

If you want someone who will never touch the remote, doesn't care about football, and can sit next to you as you watch romantic movies ......Then buy a dog.

If you want someone who is content to get up on your bed just to warm you and whom you can push off if he snores ...Then buy a dog.

If you want someone who never criticizes what you do, doesn't care if you are pretty or ugly, fat or thin, young or old, who acts as if every word you say is especially worthy of listening to, and loves you unconditionally, perpetually ....Then buy a dog.

But, on the other hand, if you want someone who will never come when you call, ignores you totally when you come home, leaves hair all over the place, walks all over you, runs around all night and only comes home to eat and sleep, and acts as if your entire existence is solely to ensure his happiness...Then buy a cat!

Now be honest, you thought I was going to say....then marry a man!

I have 4 furry family members (dogs) and wouldn't trade them for anything. THey are great for loving you unconditionally and not complaining about stuff

Gotta admit I sorely miss not having a dog (my lifestyle would be unfair to such a companion). But I do have a cat (very independent) who actually makes a good watch cat...when he cares to hang around me.

In fairness, he really is a good mate and good companion...now that his arthritis is starting to set in.

Nah!...reckon it only applies to those that fit the mold...it's pretty tongue in cheek anyway....she has two cats....so guys are still in the running as far as my (4 times married) friend is concerned.

I've been told I have those 'dog-like' characteristics, and was born in the year of the dog. Coincidence? Maybe - I haven't taken to barking at my cat, yet. Then I accused of being 'too passive', lol! Go figure!

By the way, she is drop dead gorgeous, gym fit, now semi-retired (after selling the company she built herself over 20 years)....she has no problems attracting anyone, just the wrong types:eek

Yep, a bit of intentional ironic hunour, there. I think you got my drift, though.

 

When my friend invited me to some of those social networking sites, it re-enforced what I'd figured a long time ago: whatever they say, most men are will go for anything that has (at least) two legs: my standard answer is for any dating invitations - and marriage invitations from African princes, lol - that I've already got two dogs and a cat, filling my needs many times more than any man could. Someone said that s** is the thing a woman needs a man for and I don't think you need to be a lesbian to second that... except when you want to fall asleep as immediately...
