I have over 800 jpg files in my recycle bin that we intended to cull. Somehow, I now have these same images in their restored location among the pictures we want to keep. Can anyone save me the time (about 3-4 hours) of going through 2200 images to selectively delete these same pictures again? I'm guessing that I can move the deleted images from the recycle bin to a folder for reference. Maybe there's a batch file/image utility that can help me delete these same images again?
    Regards,

The type of software you need is a duplicate file finder that will allow you to specify the recycle bin as one source to help you identify the copies you need to re-delete. There's a short but rather old (2008) thread here at MG that discusses such software:

    http://forums.majorgeeks.com/index.php?threads/best-duplicate-file-finder.167655/

It would be great if some of the MG-ers here, who've used such software recently, would weigh-in with suggestions or re-affirm that the Glary Utilities, or whatever, is still a good tool to use. And to confirm that a specific duplicate file finder can use files in the recycle bin as a basis to identify the duplicates you wish to zap (again).

Also it might be helpful if you'd at least post some minimal info about your system -- which OS are you running?

And, if you don't already know, it would be good if you could figure out why the files reappeared after you'd sent them to the recycle bin to make sure it won't happen again.

As I've never used a duplicate file finder I'm unable to make specific software suggestions based on personal experience. I'll be interested to see what others here post/suggest for this problem as I need a good duplicate file finder myself. If you wish to see what's available here at MG check it out here:

Some of the programs are free, some you have to pay for. Good luck!

Thanks for your time and info.
The source of the problem is one that I don't fully understand, however, I'm sure its related to Microsoft's OneDrive and their recent decision to reduce the amount of storage available to users. This immediately put us over the storage limit while in the middle of processing a huge batch of pictures to be uploaded for printing. Now I have 2200 pictures in OneDrive that I can no longer sync until I remove them. And, I have the 800 deleted pictures in the recycle bin of a local Win 10 laptop.

I'll try a few duplicate file utilities and see what happens. Maybe I can move the recycle bin photos to a desktop folder to make it easier.

Let us know what works best for your problem please. And be sure to check that the software you use is compatible with your Operating System. Good Luck!
