Matshita - DVD/CD-RW

    Hi my self Guru ,

    I have Acer - travel mate - 4020 which has Matshita - DVD/CD-RW .
    I have installed Win-XP in my laptop.
    But I am not able to write the CD using the CD writer.
    I tried Nero but nero detect CD writer as image recorder.
    Can anyone help me on this .

    Is your DVD/CDRW recognised in either My Computer, Disk Managment or Device Manager?

    If its is then in Nero, where it mentions "Image Recorder" as its a drop down box with other options, can you choose DVD/CDRW?

    Yaa , My DVD/CD-RW combo is detected in my computer.
    But in the nero drop down box only Image recorder is available.

    Do or did you have any other type of CD Writing software installed as well as Nero or before you installed Nero?

    if so maybe a good thing to Un-install Nero then run the Nero cleantool to clean up any bad registry/driver entires then re-install Nero

    Remember to note your serial number down if you dont have it already.
