not sure if you've gotten everything setup already, but A large community I know uses

    Teamspeak

it requires little memory and uses very little bandwidth, and the sound quality is great. all you'd have to do is set up The Serverside tool on one computer, and the Client tool on the other comps and have them connect to the server... voila.

just an FYI if you wanna try it out. its Free :D

    Thanks loads!

gunna have to see whether i can get out onto the internet with this, need to find out what ports it uses so i can forward them :)

it works fine through my router without having to forward any ports! I am not sure if you are behind anything else.... but either way, it should workout quite nicely:)

    glad to have helped

I'm not sure as far as quality goes, but gamevoice looks like it has lots of other features too, and I may be old fashioned, but i prefer the more basic layout of Teamspeak.

I actualy like having the server tool to connect to, and the administrative privelages to the server can be granted to anyone that connects (and registers there IP with the server)

I didnt look into gamespeak too much, but if you have any particulars that you like about it, I'd like to hear them, to see if its worth trying out

I have game voice and don't even use it anymore. Each user must by the $50 unit and headset from M$. The best feature of it though is that you can group different people together and hit a button to talk to only your team, everyone......but it was failry buggy. For now online I use Roger Wilco and it's free. It is fairy simple to use after the initial set-up.

yeah, Teamspeak is pretty similar to RW, but i prefer it. Better sound quality and ease-of-use in my opinion.

if you want the groovie groups with the hardware, then you have to fork up the cash.
