Mb Utilities Loaded Before Windows?

    Asus will be the first to put their utilities in MB memory. Reinstalling Windows, new HDD/SSD will not help if they get compromised.

    Anyone else concerned?

    I mean generally UEFI is kinda the same idea and can / has been compromised.

    Yeah, you can't just pop an EPROM chip out of a system board anymore. Now they're getting fancier. Something else for MalwareBytes to add to their defensive package. The good news is, the work involved in pulling off the programming probably isn't worth it to an average bad actor (not the SVR/GRU), so they are rare but out there. Much like fileless malware, it may end up being a "fun ride"...
