I didn't mean to sound smart in my original reply, but didn't know this was another computer. If you have removed the McAffee software from the computer using the add/remove programs feature, then it could be a leftover registry value causing your problem. I would suggest downloading CCleaner and any of the free regristry cleaners from the downloads section of MajorGeeks, running them and see if that doesn't fix your problem. Hope this helps, and if not, post back! :)

    Uninstalling Internet Security Suite

In some situations, you might want to uninstall Internet Security Suite or some of its point programs.

NOTE Users must have Administrator rights to uninstall Internet Security Suite.

1 Save all your work and close any open applications.

    2 Open Control Panel.
    • Windows 98, ME, and 2000 users: On your Windows taskbar, select Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
    • Windows XP users: On your Windows taskbar, select Start, and then click Control Panel.
3 Click Add or Remove Programs.

NOTE To uninstall McAfee Internet Security Service, you must uninstall each point program (McAfee Personal Firewall, McAfee Privacy Service, McAfee SpamKiller, McAfee VirusScan), including McAfee SecurityCenter.
4 Select a McAfee program from the list of programs, and then click Change/Remove.

5 When you are asked to confirm the uninstallation, click Yes. The uninstallation begins.

6 If prompted, click Restart to restart your computer.

7 If you are uninstalling Internet Security Suite, repeat Step 1 through Step 6 for each point program.

8 From the Add/Remove Programs dialog box, select McAfee SecurityCenter, and then click Change/Remove.

9 If prompted, click Restart to restart your computer.

Hope this is helpful, McAfee support isn't the best.

could be well worth running a registry cleaner as it sounds like a McAfee product could have been on that PC at some point or a failed/stopped install that is stuck in the registry run hive thats calling on that check each boot.
