I started getting pop-ups yesterday from "Mcafee" saying I have viruses, click here to activate Mcafee protection or my credit card payment failed for my Mcafee subscription. I do not have Mcafee. I use Norton. I have followed the directions and attaching the files. I have a couple screenshots of the popups if you need to see them.

I did read the Read Me First and ran the scans as stated in the instructions. I was continuing to get the pop-ups while scanning. I would close the pop-up and continue the scan. I attached the logs as requested in the instructions. I haven't seen any pop-ups this morning. Is there any thing else I need to do or did I do something wrong in following he instructions.

    Thank you for your assistance.

Looks like you did everything right. I read through the basics of the logs, which showed no detected malware. Someone more adept at reading the logs could I.D. the offending browser pop up. If it no longer appears, one of the software suites would appear to have remedied it. Are you currently running Norton?

Yes, I am running Norton. Neither Chrome or Edge are having any McAfee pop-ups since early this morning. Should I uninstall any of the tools? Would you recommend keeping any of the tools?

    Thank you for your help.

Keeping the tools is like having an alternate browser. It's a good thing. Just keep them updated now and then. Everyone has their own opinion, but many moons ago I used to do a lot of virus removals. Unfortunately for Nort0n, it was installed on most of the machines that were infected. I have sworn by MalwareBytes for years. But, to each their own...
