Mcafee keeps popping up

Hi!

When I got my new dell PC it came automatically with a trial of mcafee with the bundle.

Just 2 days ago all of a sudden every 4 minutes or so a message will pop up saying that "Your PC is at risk!" So im like ok? I click on it and it brings me to the mcafee UI and It says the live scanner is off. It asks me if I want to turn it back on. I click yes and it goes on for like 2 seconds then shuts off again by itself.

And the message will keep popping up every 4 mins or so.

Nothing bad is wrong with my computer its just annoying to have this pop up every single dam minute.

I already scanned with malware bytes and tdsskiller and it shows no signs of malware or anything bad.

So yea what is wrong?

 

Excuse me I just bought this computer in December and it says on the Mcafee UI subscription part that I have 288 days left.

Everything in it is working correctly except the "Real-time scanner" It wont stay on and keeps shutting off.

 

Try running a scan with MalwareBytes. It's scanner is free, additional features are available with the paid version.

If McAfee missed anything, and in my experience it often does, MalwareBytes will find it.

 

Hi, I already said in my first post that I already scanned with malware bytes and TDSS killer. Nothing bad is showing up.

 

My bad, it was late.

IMO, AVG is very good and it's free. To be honest with you, I'd :crap can the McAfee and stick with an excellent (did I mention FREE) AV suite.

If you keep your eye out, sometimes place like Newegg and TigerDirect have fire sales on license keys. I got my AVG licenses for $7.99 a pop for a year.
