Mcafee problem

    hi,
    i have a mate that wants Mcafee uninstalling from his computer, so i went to add/remove and it says it cant find Install.log so it cant uninstall it, and no matter what you do, it just wont go, it was pre-loaded when he bought the computer.
    He is running xp home on a dell 3000 dimension.

    If you have the installation files, you could install it, so it recreates the install.log file, then uninstall it.

    If not, then you will have to manually remove the files/folders.

    Make sure that "show hidden files and folders" is enabled, then do a search for McAfee or whatever and delete them.

    If it won't let you, then do so in safe mode, or use something like POCKET KILLBOX.
