    If I'm in the wrong forum, sorry. I don't come here very often. I received a notice from "McAfee" to update my anti-virus and I'm concerned about its legitimacy. I have automatic updates, and I think if the software needs updating they would do it. Thanks ahead of time.

    You are in the correct forums. :)
    Double click on the MacAfee icon in the system tray, click on update.

    Have you purchased MacAfee, or is it provided by your ISP. If purchased is the subscription valid?
