MD5 hash

apparently the MD5 hash algorithm, one of the algorithms used to create SSL certs for secure websites has been cracked. a group of security researchers used about 200 playstations to actually hack verisigns cert authority site and are able to create certs for any site on the net. MD5 obsolete?

:wavehyas king steve my view is that anything man made can be broken by man sadly!!But it is very unnerving; none the same..

they used ps3 because the processor is really good for cryptographic processing or something. i read it in the article.
