MDAC 2.8 Problem

I am running Win98SE
PIII 512mg RAM

I just downloaded MDAC 2.8 & now my IE 6.0 is running slower than mollases. Is there any way I can speed this back up again? Browsing takes an awful long time to load pages.

Hey Kodo, thanks for the reply. How do I run a repair on IE? I'm running IE6 I downloaded from MS quite a while ago & I don't have a disk for it. but I do have the setup in my downloads folder. Do I just reinstall a "typical" installation?

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that web browsing seems to be OK. It seems that it's just the MajorGeeks site that's giving me problems. It's taking about 35-40 sec. to load thread to thread.

Still think it's an IE problem?

I'm sorry guys, but I just found what I did.

I went back & checked my firewall settings & found where I blocked (forever) a cookie that MajorGeeks uses. I unblocked it and now everything is fine again. I don't believe I did that.
