Medal of Honour Airborne trouble.

I got MOH Airborne today and when i put it into my cd player, it reads the disk then restarts my computer. I tried it twice, both times it did the same thing. Why is this happening?

I have managed to bypass the reboot by manually exploring the disk.

I have another problem now though. It installs for around 15 minutes, then says it could not complete due to an error.

What is going on here? Annoyance after annoyance with this game.

Double check the disk to make sure it's not dirty or scratched including on the edges, and also clean your disc player. Often a little dust or stray fingerprint can result in misreads that produce this behavior.

The usual cause for a shutdown in the middle of play is heat. With the intensity of graphics in most combat simulators, graphics cards are more likely to overheat than the cpu . Make sure your case is well ventilated (Not stuck under a desk or in a bookshelf) and that the insides are clean and dust free.

Finally there is a chance that there is a flaw in your disk. There is a 90 day manufacturer's defect warranty that you may use to return the game for a replacement.

I know this is an old thread, but I just came across this very same problem. The first time I loaded the game when it came out, I didn't have any problems installing it, but now I am. I found that there is a compatibility issue with the version of the AGEIA PhysX driver the game wants to load and the Nvidia version that is currently on the machine, which in my case was loaded when I upgraded my video card. I uninstalled my current version, rebooted, then the game installed fine.
