Media Center PC Question

how do i know what version of windows media i have (is it 2002)? i installed a sblive sound card and am wanting to check for updated software etc. - sos

 

You should not use Microsoft update to update your hardware drivers. They can sometimes cause problems with your system. I have learned this the hard way. Use the hardware vendors website to get the most recent updates. Here is Creatives site.

the 2nd picture (with the pull down menu), is a screenshot of the sblive site. i just don't know what version that i have. however, looking around at some sites, i'm gonna assume it's 2005, since i just bought this comp earlier this week. - sos

 

Start run winver, then post a screen of that
