   Media Player 10 won't play video attacvhments from an LG mobile phone (UK) it comes up with 'Error COOD1199' - the compression file is not recognised! Any way round this or what can I down load for MP10 to play mobile phone familu videos??

   Did you get software with your phone to use on your PC to manage data? ( LG Phone Manager is what its called IIRC )
   
   see if that has an option to save your video clips to another format, you could also email LG support for an answer.
