Media player classic

Hi,

I'm new in dealing with the media player classic. I've tried to find my answer on other forums but can't quite understand.
I downloaded some music from walmart downloads and kept having trouble with wmp9 the player would just lock up. I started using real player instead but had to wait so long to hear a song as real player had to connect to internet on every song. I got rid of real player and downloaded MP classic.
I need to know how I can play all these song files I have sitting on my screen? Every time I double click on song file I get C:\ windows can't find real player.How do I play these songs now? Sorry for the ignorance on this subject but it's all new to me.

 

You have to assign an application to the file format. Right click on the file, click on "open with...", and choose Media Player Classic as the applicatoin, check the box that says something like "always use application with format". If the player isn't listed on the screen, browse through Program Files and find it.

 

I already assigned the file to MPclassic and the player keeps sayinG "FAILED TO RENDER FILE"
Still need help.

 

Come on Geeks,I know somebody can help me with this problem, or I have over $20.00 worth of music just sitting on my screen.I would sure appreciate it.

 

Just a wild guess.. but I'd say you need a media player that handles DMCA or RIA security...

As I said in my first post that the reason I quit using windows media9 was that it kept locking up after it acquired the license and would not play anything.
The player would not respond.Any help would be appreciated.I use windows ME
