Media Player Files, right clicking, and flickering

Hope someone knows what is going on because i cannot work this one out. Normally when i right click on a windows media player file it just brings up a menu with copy paste etc. so no problems. Yet now and again for no reason my screen will flicker really badly every time i right click on ANY windows media player file, the screen flicker is kind of like when you degauss a screen and it goes mental for a second. This only happens sometimes and if i leave the PC alone for a few hours it will normally stop doing it but it drives me mad as i have never experienced this with any other PC i have had, hope someone has some ideas of what is going on here...?

 

by the way forgot to mention if i uninstall my graphics drivers and run windows with no graphics drivers the problem stops, then if i put ANY drivers back on like omega or nvidia ones the problem will happen again until it eventually disappears of its own accord hours later. This says to me that it is not a problem with the card, but if its the drivers then why does this only happen sometimes, it is SO confusing, i just dont see how this can be solved its mental!
