Media Player Problem

I'm having trouble getting any of my media players to work. Each time I open a player (Yahoo! Music Jukebox, WMP, or MusicMatch) they simply shut down with no error message whatsoever. I've tried many different anti-virus software, but none seems to find the problem. I've also shut down every firewall possible, but that does no seem to work either. Here are a few specifics with each problem.

    1. Yahoo Music Jukebox - when I sign in, it simply shuts down a second after accepting my sign in. I have a log file from verbose mode if that would be helpful, I can't interpret it myself... and apparently the help support at Yahoo are no longer tending to my needs.

    2. WMP - I have WMP 10 with the Wal-Mart Download Center. The media player works fine with the songs I already have, but when I sign into Walmart Downloads or decide to add a song to my Cart, it simply shuts down without error message.

    3. Musicmatch - if I play a song on it from my current playlist it shuts down. I can't really do much with this media player at all.

I also have reason to believe this problem is getting worse. What started with a little trouble with YMJ turned into having issues with all of my media players. I'm thinking it has something to do when my media players get in touch with the internet or validate my account on each. I'm not sure though.

Any ideas? I'm really at a loss.

    Using XP?
See if you can obtain some type of info about what might be going on.
    Go to...
    "Start\Control Panel" or "Start\Settings\Control Panel"
If in the Category View - Control Panel...
Click: "Performance and Maintenance\Administrative Tools" then "Event Viewer"
If in Classic View - Control Panel...
Double Click:"Administrative Tools" then "Event Viewer".
Go through all the categories... "Application, Security, System" to see if any hidden errors accrued.

    Otherwise...
Looks as if you did a virus scan.
If you already haven't tried... also a Ad-Aware... Spybot... etc... scan might prove to be fruitful.

I've done Ad-Aware, Norton, and AVG, nothing worked.

I've checked all three parts of the event viewer as well, I got nothing.

And Yes, I'm using XP. This is such an odd problem.

Have you tried uninstalling all your media players. Backup your songs first just in case.
Run CCleaner, etc., and then re-install one at a time.

Test your system after each re-install. It may pinpoint if one, or more, media players are at fault.

PS: Welcome to MG, BTW. Bazza

Alright, it looks like I have a bit of work cut out for me. Thanks for your help. I'll bump this topic if I still have trouble or gain any new information.
