Toshiba Satellite L455 with Windows 7. Been working fine for a year. Just started receiving: PXE-E61: Media test failure, check cable.

This started about 3 weeks ago. After a couple of re-boots, I usually got up and running. Now... I can not boot. I've reset to factory defaults.

    Any ideas? Thanks

That means your computer is trying to boot from a networked computer.
Turn the computer on and press the key to get into the BIOS. Check what is set as bootup devices.
If the hd is first and it is bypassing your hard drive and looking for something else with an OS to boot from, it could mean a problem with the hard drive.
Easiest fix, go in check that the cable is seated properly. If that doesn't work, replace the cable.
If it still doesn't work, you may want to test the hard drive.

Thanks... but I'm not sure what you mean..."go in check that the cable is seated properly. If that doesn't work, replace the cable"

What cable? Where? This is a laptop.
