    Hi,
I am using the excellent MediaCoder to convert large vob movie files into mp4 & avi files.
I can reduce the bitrate alot thus making the files much smaller.
The picture and sound turns out great.

One problem though - the sound and video are slightly out of sync.

What settings must I use in MediaCoder to overcome this problem?

    Thank you.

Not being a user of Media Coder, I can't give you any settings, but there's a program called AVIMux that allows you to fix audio sync problems (and many other video/audio problems). It has tons of tools. I haven't used it in a while, so I won't be able to help, but I have used it to fix audio sync issues on AVI files, I just don't remember how I did it, but I do remember it wasn't too hard....

I use AutoGK to convert DVD files to Avi. It works very well and I've never had a synch problem. You might want to try it for one film and see how things go.
