I currently have 256MB DDR RAM (1 module) in my pc. I have the choice to exchange this for 364MB SDRAM (1x 256MB module + 1x 128MB module)

Would changing to 364MB improve performance when the pc would have more memory to use, or would the slower SDRAM cancel it out, or worse and should I stick with my DDR RAM?

You may need to first check and see what your motherboard recommends ....then, I'd probably purchase another stick of 256 ddr ....yes it will improve performance and stability ....(how do you know that the exchanged ram is good?) ...spend a little and save a lot!!!:) :)

ahhh buy more RAM, why didn't I think of that?

that wasn't the question now was it?

and yes, I know the SDRAM is good because the pc it is in is working fine
