    HELP!

    Summery:

    Running Windows 2000 Pro

When booting up a blue screen pops up for only a second, Literally. It has two paragraphs but goes by so fast I can only get a couple words. In the first paragraph it says something in the system file is corrupt. In the second paragraph it says something about a memory dump.
Then it starts the reboot cycle again.

This all started out of the blue. Left the computer running one evening and when I got up in the morning it was rebooting . . .over and over. Wonder if someone could have gotten by my firewall?

I bought the computer from my company a year ago and they did not provide the Win 2000 pro disk. I made an emergancy disk sometime ago but when I try to use it I get a message that says it is not a system disk and will not boot the computer.

    ANY HELP? PLEASE

you could try to get into safe mode and run a restore from there by tapping F8 whilst the system boots you should get a menu that will allow you into safe mode....if not im pretty sure F5 takes you straight there without the menu although i may be corrected by someone on that.
