While going through different antivirus programs trying to identify and remove a trojan which you can read more about in the thread http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?p=1075558#post1075558 I thought that I might as well record how much memory each antivirus program uses as I noticed huge differences in computer performance going from an antivirus or firewall program to another in the past. To do this, I used MS Process Explorer to record Peak Working Set and Peak Private Bytes, and not being sure which one of them is a better choice, I summed them up. :cool Also, on this list I have a few firewalls, antispyware, spreadsheets, JAVA IDEs, wordprocessors and music players. A few interesting results, like for example, AVG having the smallest footprint as an antivirus, but it's right up there with the rest of them when installed as a Suite.

Anyhow, here it is, and say good bye to bloatware and improve your computer performance without sinking more money into unnecessary hardware. :)
