Memory leak?

XP Pro, SP3, current updates, Comodo firewall, A^2 AV, Lenovo T60p Dual CPU - 2.1 ghz, 15.6" screen, 3 Gb computer memory, 3 cent operator memory

Recently I've been seeing a slow down initiating operations.

More to the point, I've had a few occasions during the same time period (usually running a graphics program with a menu I've just opened) when an operation will freeze up, then after maybe a minute an out of memory error will pop up.

Is this what they call a memory leak? If so, what can I do about it?

 

It's got to Be Comodo firewall i have used that be for and its not pretty and does take up more resources then it needs too and on top of this i don't think its being updated as of late.I would go with the Pro version of malwarebytes.

Thanks. Process Explorer looks like a great tool, combining the output of several others that are similar, but I've been into computers long enough to know I don't know enough to put it to work.

The program is PMView Pro, but I've used it for a lot of years and this issue has only appeared for a few days.

 

Comodo Firewall and Comodo Internet Security both had version updates last Monday. And CIS updates 2-3 times a week on average.

Comodo's programs are light on resources, I'd highly doubt that's the culprit.

 

I hate NOT to dis Comodo, but there are two points about that.

1. I've had it about a year and this issue just came up. (Yes, I've used the same operation in the same app a lot.)

2. Process Explorer shows very little resource use.
