Memory Module PC133 only working at PC100

Hi all,

I´ve having a problem with one of my memory modules its a samsung 128m pc 133, and its instaled in Intel Desktop Board D815EEA2/D815EPEA2, the thing is that during post I get the following message :

"SERIAL PRESENCE DETECT (SPD) device data missing or inconclusive."

You will receive a message " Do you wish to attempt to boot at 100MHz bus speed?"

"Y/N [Y] Type [N] to shut down "

The thing is that I have another samsung memory exactly equal but I only get this message with this particular one, it was working fine and without any reason it started giving this message and now only works at pc100.

I´ve done a little search arounds the web but did not found anything, I think the problem is that the spd data just got corrupted (i don´t imagine why )

Does anyone know a way of reprogram the spd? Cause now all my modules work only at pc100...

have you ran memtest? can be found here - http://majorgeeks.com/download350.html

 

Try resetting your CMOS / BIOS jumper and then rebooting your machine. This will clear any corruption in your CMOS / BIOS.

You may want to make a note of the setting in the CMOS / BIOS before doing this and only try this as a last resort.

Thanks for the sugestions, I´ve run MEMTEST86 V3.1A on that single failing module and it passed all the tests, I reflashed the bios with the original bios from intel, but it stays the same that module inly reads PC100 I don´t know what went wrong, it desn´t read the spd eprom correctly, as this ever happened to anyone?? Anymore sugestions??
