I have a question about about memory. I currently have 256 meg of DDR ram (184pin, 400mhz, PC3200) and intend to add more.

My question is, can you have a 256meg stick of memory and a stick of say 512 (for a 768 total) in the same system without problem? (assuming they are of the same type of course).

A bit of paranoia on my part but usually you hear people talking about their systems and they seem to have either 256, 512 or a 'a gig' but I have not heard anyone mention having what seems to be an 'oddball' number like 768.

    Thanks in advance your help!

Always a good idea to check the book that came with your motherboard on acceptable configs.
