Memory Timing and Latency

    I'm looking to buy 1GB of Corsair Ram (512x2) and just need some help with Ram timing and CAS Latency. What is the difference with 2-2-2-5 timing vs 2-3-3-6 timing. I know 2-2-2-5 is better but what does all that mean? What does it actually do? Also with CAS latency I've noticed 2 and 4. Can anyone help me with that as well? I appreciate any help that you can give me?
