    Set up = gigabyte 7n-400A nforce2.. Athlon xp 2700..gforce 4 Ti- 4600.. 2x256 dual channel Ultra overclocking 3200..trying to run 4x256

Ok so I was running two sticks of the ultra 256 dual channel 3200, and bought two more like two months later making it 4x256. With the 4x256 in the comp it has aplication errors(mostly while gaming) and crashes to desktop. Crashes are very random. Sometimes frequent and sometimes not. I took the two sticks back out and now stable. What would the problem be??

The new Ram is it same brand & speed as the old?
    Could have bad slot.
Could have Bad stick of ram.
Try installing the new ram in the same slots as the old ram and just try running the new.
    Run memory test.

    What errors did you recieve?
    Are you overclocking?

I know nothing about your particular setup, but I know some motherboards will not run reliably with more than two sticks. My motherboard is one of them.
I am a firm believer in buying memory as a matched set if possible.

First I put in two matched sticks of dual chanel Ultra brand ddr 3200 2X256..
Now I'm trying to add two more matched pairs of the same ram to make it 4x256..No overclocking..

It dosn't run really half bad. Just an anoying crash to desktop every hour or every five minutes.. very random..
