    I'm doing a small memory upgrade on a Giga-Byte GA-7VTXE mobo
There are 3 slots 2 taken up with 256 mb in each I've got a 512mb to put in to make it up.My question is do I put it in the empty slot or put it in the slot nearest the prosessor then put the 256mb allready there in the now empty slot.
    Hope that makes sense

You should just put it in the empty slot, as long as you make sure you're using the same type of memory as the 256 MB sticks. I don't mean another 256 MB RAM, but the same type, ie SDRAM, DIMM, etc.

    Chipper :)
