    Hello,

I have a MSI K8m Neo-v motherboard. I am looking to buy a gig of ram for my computer. HOwever there is an issue of compatibility.

I have read my motherboard manual, but what do i need to look at to make sure my memory will fit my motherboard.

    Thank you.

    • Supports two 184-pin DDR SDRAMs up to 2GB memory size

    • Supports DDR400*/DDR333/DDR266 DDR SDRAM (*Refer to MSI recommended modules) • Note: PC3200 (DDR400) maximum 4 banks (2 double-sided) only(http://www.msicomputer.com/product/p_spec.asp?model=K8M_Neo-V)

How much do you have? Is there currently one stick or two? If one, would you like to replace it with 2X512MB? With DDR RAM, which your computer supports, it is recommented to use 2 sticks of the same size.

I am looking for a 1 gig of ram to add to my computer currently I have one stick of 512mb running on my computer.

There are lots of memory pieces out there, I have contacted some sellers on ebay and when I think the memory should fit they tell me it won't. So what should I be looking for in specifics.

I know I wan a 1024mb SDRAM 400 DDR with 184pin I get that but there are other things.

    Thanks for the help.
