memtest

    Hi first time here and was trying to get memtest to work. I downloaded memetest86 iso and burned the files to a CD. Restarted my comp and hit F8 which stated boot sequence and selected CD. Is this correct? If not what exactly am I supposed to be pressing to get my comp to boot off the CD to run memtest? Any help would be apprectiated. Thanks in advance

    I haven't ran memtest before, but you need to pay attention to which key you need to get into setup, when BIOS is loading after you power on your machine. Go into your boot options and make sure the CD-ROM drive gets checked before the hard drive. That should work.
