Meomery Usage

    I WAS using a 600MHz celeron with 256M pc-100

    after booting up windows XP pro, aboot 80M of the ram was being used

    i now use an AMD x2 2.4GHz with 2G DDR2

    after booting up windows xp pro, aboot 350M of the ram is being used BUT, with the exact same software starting up

    as in, the install is identical on both systems

    is there a logical explanation for this ?
