Merge PSP-files?

    Hi,

I'm scanning my certificates for my CV, and I have quickly realized that jpeg-files simply become to big, so I've decided to go for pspimage, which seem to keep the files very small.

However, I'm not sure how to merge them? For instance, my graduation certificate is 4 pages, which I'd like to have in one file. Combining the "pictures" in Word (and converting the doc to pdf) results in a big file as well.

Is there a neat way to just put the psp-pictures one after another?

    Thanks in advance!

    Scanning certificates for a CV

    Hello,

I'm preparing my application and CV, and some potential employers require all graduation certificates and references from previous employers.

Now I'm trying to scan all my papers, keeping the attachment size reasonable, without losing to much quality. Do you have any hints how I should proceed?

Scanning everything as jpegs and combining the files with Word, and finally converting to pdf was my plan, but unfortunately this seems to result in big files.

I'm grateful for any hints and ideas!

I've realized that inserting psp-files in a Word document also seems to result in very strange results.

    Most take files in PDF.

    HI

Maybe worth scanning in a lower resolution originally, maybe try out 150dpi scans of the docs to judge quality, especially if scanning at a default 300dpi +

Also could try DoPDF or set your PDF converter app to a lower resolution in its printer properties, I just scanned some work docs which are gfx heavy and embedded them in a Word doc and the resulting PDF using DoPDF was half the size if the Word file.

However if you have many papers to send to a respective employer adn its documents they need, I would imagine that they would be ok with this espeically if you cave them a heads up first before sending.
