Hey Dave great to see you around on the forum again. It has been a bit of a miserable year for me healthwise but 2024 is just around the corner and I am looking to forward better things and hopeful there will be some improvement.
I hope you and your's have a great Christmas and wish that the New Year brings happiness, good health and prosperity and also that it isn't too busy for you at work. I hope you will be taking a break and going somewhere that is nice and peaceful and has bad phone reception so you can truly relax lolol
All the best my friend and a I may send you an epic email when I get my new glasses (my sight is really crap at the moment) but for now just a short note on the forum hehehe

Sorry to hear about your detached retina....not good but I guess you know a few good people who can help lol Great you have had a pretty good outcome
I had a semi detached retina a few years ago when I asked you about floaters after the laser surgery and you said most would probably go away in time or after another zap and you were correct

Thanks and my new computer glasses can only help me see my 55" computer screen a little bit better but my readers are at one step off maximum dioptre and the vision gain for the last step is unnoticrable so not worth spending the money as the prescription lenses are dear as b*gg@^y especially to get the thin lens mod (extra A$380 on top of the A$540 for the lens and A$240 for the frame).....without getting the thin lens option the glasses are so thick that you look like a freak and also the thick lenses can only be fitted in horrible looking really thick frames.

Plenty of happy family news to come hehe so another War and Peace epic is in the works lolol

Hehehe....it is about time. When released it only got to number 2 or maybe 3 on the charts.....seems so long ago and I can't really remember and don't want to google it as my eyesight at the moment is pretty piss poor and I have trouble reading.....at least I can touch type and I haven't been spell checking as that is more reading lol

Hope you all enjoyed your Christmas and New Year one way or another. I spent both quietly, catching up with friends and watching the fireworks from my side of Sydney Harbour's Bridge...worked out rather well, as Manly Beach had fireworks on NYE, while watching these from the Harbour side of Manly, I also saw the Fireworks from the Harbour! Quite spectacular!

New Year's Day I spent with an old school mate, which broke my heart to see her condition following a stroke that has slowed her down considerably and no longer able to live in her own home. At least she is well cared for and in a lovely residence.

Best to you all for 2024, may your heart's deepest wishes come true!
