Mfplat.dll Missing Error

Hello! Need a help

When I try to start Windows Movie Maker from the main components of windows, I receive an error message:

“The program can't start because MFPlat.dll is missing from your computer”

The reinstallation did not help. I have checked it with a search. I have found many files with this name in my system. How to solve this problem?

When you post for help here you should always give the exact Operating System and any Service Pack you are using.

You need to run the Windows System File Checker (SFC)

There are methods to recover the .dll if software/registry cleaning methods have accidentally deleted or corrupted it.
I assume your running Win10?, Most times installing Windows Media Feature pack can resolve this! (links provided for alt win versions)

We cannot assume anything until the OP says what the OS is. Best practice is to wait for that first.
