MG On TV

    Channel 9 in Central NY again, somewhere between 5-6:30, should be a small blurb with me on, but got MG t-shirt on and the laptop has MG loaded in the background. Hope it comes off ok, you know news, they hit me with some weird questions I didnt expect that were sort of out there ;)

    Where in central NY? I want to see this since I couldn't see the last time you guys were on TV. What if Kodo just showed up out of no where lol that would be funny.

    Its a Syracuse based station... There are movies iceman posted from last time somewhere, im hoping no one gets movies this time, I am not a big TV guy... Rather be a bit more anonymous.

    Should be ABC, Channel 9, WIXT in Syracuse, NY, if you find it somewhere let me know, its a Clearchannel company.

    Iceman, record it if you can, delete if i look like an ass, which isnt exactly unlikely, thats why I bring Jim so I can mock him and make myself look good, but he wasnt available or caught on ;)

    As suspected, did 30 minutes, took a couple blurbs that needed more to it and ignored more important blurbs.

    Well, when I discussed disabling file and print sharing, it was specific to XP PRo, since a lot of home users were misinformed by well intentioned geeks that they needed pro.

    I also covered a whole thing about Windows Update, visrus signatures and how you need to be careful not to type incorrect web addresses and the like to avoid spyware, viruses and trojans. You know, basic tips i compared to being as easy to do as putting on your seat belt when you head out.

    Also, wore the MajorGeeks shirt, they hid it first time, showed it second time, but hidden beneath a bar and the laptop was barely visible. I expected a better plug from a local station as we dont benefit from it and I expected to in a plug, which was yanked out from under.

    Bottom line, it was filler and not geared to help anyone and its the last time ill be on.

    No, they couldnt afford me... simply because I am resistant to television, its not my thing. I prefer radio or the net. The news does not really solve anyhting for anyone, they just report.. and I prefer to be more hidden then TV allows.

    I already told you, I'm done doing my mom's PR work....

    I used to be in a local thing called the media unit... basically its teenagers who want to act so they do on local PBS.

    they stuff they wanted and the over acting they prided on was just too ick for me... probably because i actually CAN act... they were acting like they were playing bad actors on tv... bleah

    You know, if I didn't know any better, I would think that they were putting Tim across as the hacker/virus coder. I mean, you were talking about the mentality of the person who sets up viruses and hacks for Windows, and it seemed like they were making you out to be one.

    Anyone else get that vibe?
