Don't know if you guys have been on Wikipedia lately, but it's one of my favorite destinations.
As I was browsing through recently, I found this:

MajorGeeks.com

MajorGeeks.com is a website that provides shareware and freeware downloads and reviews, for both Windows and Mac, as well as a support forum. Although a wide range of software is provided, there is a particular emphasis on systems utilities, security, protection, and tools to improve computer performance.

The support forums are heavily moderated to remove spam and inappropriate content by a dedicated group of volunteers. As of November 8th, 2010 Majorgeeks support forums had 221,486 members and almost 1,200,000 posts. The malware removal forum is one of the most popular forums and Majorgeeks boasts numerous Microsoft MVP's as moderators. The malware forum is also run by a small group of volunteers who follow a strict guideline to help remove malware. People are assisted in order as quickly as possible. Only moderators can reply in the malware forum making it one of the best on the internet.

The site was originally launched as TweakFiles in 1997, but has been known as MajorGeeks since 2000.

As of 1 November 2010, MajorGeeks.com has a three-month global Alexa traffic rank of 4,020.

According to MajorGeeks, ever since the site's original launch in 1997, all software products listed have been tested for viruses and spyware. Originally Majorgeeks (Tweakfiles) was a website offering tested downloads before malware even existed so testing for malware became an automatic thing.

Part of Majorgeeks charm is that it is not corporate owned nor do they have any offices, but has always been maintained by 2 guys. The readers tend to be dillegent and keep an eye out for any mistakes, similar to Wikipeda. The attempt has always been to keep advertising low and quality high. Most submissions to Majorgeeks are rejected since Majorgeeks only lists tools for the PC.
