Mg's May Be A Crime-fighter!

Reading a new malware topic today at bleepingComputers, there is a very good breakdown of what the new crypto-virus going around does and some of how it does it. Part of the discussion is how it modifies the hosts file so users can't connect to various help sites and forums, in an attempt to prevent users from getting any help. About halfway down the page there is a screen-shot of the additions to the hosts file. The article only names certain certain sites as being blocked. But, if you read the list, about halfway down is......."MajorGeeks dot com". Guess the crooks know MG is here to try to help the normal folk! Glad to be knowing such good people! Thanks for all you do!

They do.
They add MajorGeeks to the hosts file because they don't want the victim(s) to visit the Malware Removal Forum.
