    Hello, everyone.

I am having a problem running MGtools as part of the Malware Procedure. I am posting this in the software section as I believe it would fit here.

My problem is this: I try to run MGTools.exe, and I receive no error messages of any kind. However, it creates the folder and all of the files in it, but it doesn't actually do anything. A small, black command prompt-looking window comes up for a split second, disappears, and nothing happens. Am I missing something here? I am using Windows XP and running it according to the way it describes it in the cleanup procedure.

Please click Start, Run, and enter cmd and click OK. This will open a command prompt window. Enter the below commands at the command prompt each followed by the enter key. The bold black are commands. The red is merely informational.

cd \MGtools <-- this changes to the MGtools folder and the prompt should change to C:\MGtools>
GetRunKey <-- this will try to run all one scan from MGtools. Tell me what error messages, if any, you see.
ShowNew <-- this will try to run all another scan from MGtools. Tell me what error messages, if any, you see.

Explain your issue in your thread in the malware forum ( when you are ready with all the requested logs).
