Well, I had a brainstorm today in trying to restore my Micrografx LE image program.

First, let me say that I have two hard drives on my computer & I am using Windows 98SE. The folder with the Micrograx files are located on the slave drive (D). When I click on the draw.exe file to open the program I get an error message stating
(A required DLL file, MGX40.DLL, was not found).

When I had a re-install done that program was not copyed to the new drive as I do not have the disc anymore. The dll file is an application extension file, so I don't think it is a harmful file.

After searching on the internet I found an article that stated that particular file is located in the Windows System folder. I checked & it was there on the slave drive (D). It is in archive mode & not hidden. Since it is not in the primary drive's (C) Windows System folder I would think that is why the program is not loading.

I would like to know if I can copy that file to the Windows System folder on primary drive (C) without harming or shutting down my computer.

Also, I copyed the Micrograx folder with all of its contents into the (C) drive's programs folder.

Any assistance will be deeply appreciated. For all who have used this program know that it is not available anymore unless you can find it on that auction site or by another seller.

It is a wonderful product, indeed.

    Thanks,
    Rome
