mic mute windows 7

How can i create a shortcut to mute the microphone in windows 7?

Right-click the Volume Control > Volume Control options.

 

I am using a usb webcam with a mic built in. And it isn't listed in volume controls.

 

if you're using windows xp...right click on the volume control and go to adjust audio properties...go to voice...hit volume on the default device and turn the mike down...

 

As I said, Iam using windows 7 and am only looking for a shortcut to mute the mike.

 

Sounds like something the webcam software should be taking care of - are there any options available there?

 

No, nothing there. I was wondering if there was a way in windows 7 to create a shortcut on the desktop or taskbar?

No, tried that, its just a shortcut to mute the volume. I need to mute the mic.
