Hi there. I am pretty computer illiterate so forgive me if I make mistakes explaining.

So I have a Dell Inspirion 15 5000 series? Is there anything else you need to know about it (I'm just reading from the label).

I was trying to make a recording and now the mic records everything. Like it won't go off. Like I talk, or make a sound, and my computer broadcasts it over the speakers or in the headphones if I plug them in. And when I try to record, it is all echoish.

I just want it to go back to what it used to do (i would hit record audio, it would record, and that was that).

I'm so at a loss and so behind on work I have to do. Please help. Thanks.

Which Windows version and recording program are you using?

You probably need to turn " Listen To The Device " OFF in the Microphone Properties (Recording Settings) and you should be fine
